Pot’s Pondering

Tonight is Beacon’s Spring Meeting. We hope you come!

There are great things happening at Beacon Christian School, and I believe that greater things are in store. Tonight is a great opportunity for you to hear what is happening and also an important opportunity for you to help shape its future.

Tonight you will hear from our board, our new Advancement Director – Teresa Hoogendam, our financial administrator – David Dion, who will present the budget for next school year…and you will hear from me, your principal. I will present the top ten reasons why the Beacon is bright at 300 Scott Street!

As you come to the meeting tonight, please come with your own thoughts and ideas. What do you love about our school? What are your hopes for Beacon Christian? In what ways is our light shining brightly? Where should we shine our light where we are not shining it right now? We want to know your thoughts on this and will give you opportunity to share them.

Beacon Hockey School Opportunity!

From Sept. 14 until the end of December, a unique opportunity is being provided to Beacon students. For $285, students will be given 15 sessions of high quality hockey instruction from Todd Simon Hockey (see attachment). The sessions will be Monday or Friday mornings at Bill Burgoyne Arena, starting a 7 AM. All participants will receive a jersey and socks!  Space is limited, and is on a first come – first serve basis. But know that this offer is first being extended to Beacon students! September seems like a long time away, but if your son or daughter is excited about hockey, this may be an opportunity that you will not want to miss. Payment ensures a spot. Checks can be made out to Beacon Christian School.

Track and Field Meet, June 1st, Oakes Park, Niagara Falls.

The entire school will be attending this track meet. If any parents are interested in helping with the event, either to bring their child’s age group around, or help with an event, please contact Mr. Brooks, or Wanita May. It’s a fun day with a lot of events happening.
